For many Americans, the current economic, social and political trends in the country -- ranging from crime and racial polarization, to the economic downturn has engendered a mood of disillusionment and a renewed suspicion of government.
People are now beginning to see that the Democrats have purposefully created many of the country's social, economic and political problems so as to divide the American people. The Democrats will either create the problem directly or the condition that will lead to the problem and then present themselves as being the only ones capable of solving them. Their strategy is simple - divide and conquer.
Conservatives have limited power at the national level having gained control of the House in the 2010 elections. They face a determined enemy, whose make up includes the democrat party, the main stream media and elite Republicans like John McCain and the Bushes. We must do more than just hope that they will continue to push the conservative message of limited government, strong national defense and the protection of traditional values against the encroachments of a permissive and chaotic society - we must help them by continually encouraging them and each other.
The government is intruding too deeply into American life. We need to cut programs that the country does not need by eliminating "waste, fraud and abuse." We also need to pursue a program of eliminating regulations affecting the consumer, the workplace and the environment that are inefficient, expensive and impedes economic growth.
